Before the New Year, the shipment of Kadomatsu made from local bamboo began in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture.

The "Minobu Bamboo Charcoal Business Association" in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, is working on the maintenance of abandoned bamboo grove and the effective use of bamboo, and every year it makes kadomatsu using local bamboo.

Work began earlier this month, with approximately 130 sets completed, ranging from 70 centimeters high to over 2 meters high.

In addition to bamboo, most of the kadomatsu, such as pine and plum branches, are made from local materials, and the red fruits of the southern sky, which is a specialty of the town, are added as a color with the meaning of "rolling through difficulties."

At the workshop, the union members loaded the kadomatsu onto a truck while firmly fixing it to the loading platform so that the shape of the kadomatsu would not collapse, and left for hotels and inns around the world.

Kazuhiro Katada, the head of the Minobu Bamboo Charcoal Business Association, said, "This was a difficult year due to the corona stagnation, but I made it while praying that your new year will be a bright year."

Kadomatsu's shipping work will continue until around the 27th.
