Nitori, a major furniture and daily necessities company, is proceeding with the collection of asbestos that exceeds the standard as some of the products of diatomaceous earth are being collected, and the target is expanded as asbestos is newly confirmed in other products. We will proceed with the collection.

It was found that nine of the diatomaceous earth bath mats and coasters that Nitori Holdings had been selling for four years contained asbestos that exceeded the standard, and all of them have been sold so far. We are collecting 2.4 million items.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, as a result of investigating another product of diatomaceous earth sold by Nitori, asbestos exceeding the standard was newly confirmed in 9 types of products including other bath mats and coasters. ..

About 450,000 items have been sold so far for the nine types of products confirmed this time, and asbestos may scatter if scraped or cracked.

For this reason, Nitori decided to expand the target products and proceed with collection.

Nitori is calling for you to stop using it immediately, put it in a plastic bag, and bring it to a Nitori store.

It means that we are currently considering a collection method when it is difficult to bring it to the store.

In addition, although asbestos was not confirmed, we will collect about 680,000 items of 5 types of products including diatomaceous earth bath mats and coasters made at the same factory just in case.
