More than 2,600 workers are involved in cleaning the roads of the Moscow region due to snowfall

As the Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region Alexei Gerzhik noted, a record number of vehicles are currently clearing snow.

“Today a record number of vehicles have been brought onto the roads of the Moscow Region since the beginning of the season: more than 2.6 thousand road workers and more than 1.8 thousand units of specialized road vehicles will eliminate the consequences of snowfall,” he said.

According to him, more than 14.6 thousand km of regional roads and about 10 thousand km of municipal roads have been cleared and processed.

Earlier Izvestia wrote that the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Alexander Sinenkov, said that cloudy weather with light snowfalls is expected in Moscow on New Year's Eve.
