To prevent the new coronavirus from being transmitted at home, Governor Ohno of Saitama Prefecture distributed masks to station users in Saitama City on the night of the 25th and called on them to wear masks inside the house.

In Saitama Prefecture, the rate of domestic infection is the highest among those infected with the new coronavirus whose infection route is known, and in the prefecture, there are elderly people, people with underlying diseases, and fever. When I have a fever, I encourage them to wear a mask even at home.

On the 25th, Governor Ohno and Tadao Kanai, chairman of the Prefectural Medical Association, handed out masks to railway users at JR Omiya Station in Saitama City and called for their cooperation.

In addition to wearing masks at home, the prefecture requires refraining from dinner at year-end parties and New Year's parties, and refraining from going out unnecessarily for the elderly and people with underlying illnesses.

Governor Ohno said, "The extremely serious situation continues, and we would like to stop the spread of infection by taking measures focusing on domestic infection, which is the largest infection route."
