One more last step before final authorization.
After the approval of Europe, it is the turn of the French High Authority of Health (HAS) to look into the vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech against Covid-19.
HAS announced on Tuesday that it would deliver its opinion on Thursday morning.
"Following the European marketing authorization for the vaccine (...) developed by the companies BioNTech and Pfizer, the HAS will present its opinion on its place in the vaccine strategy against Covid-19 on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 11 a.m. ", Indicates the health authority in a press release.
Vaccinations from Sunday
The European Commission gave the green light on Monday evening to this first vaccine against Covid-19, just hours after the favorable opinion issued by the European Medicines Agency.
The French government said Monday that the first vaccinations would take place on Sunday, as in other countries of the European Union.
