TEPCO has released more than 700 new photographs of the reactor building of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station immediately after the accident, taken from the sky.

The 734 photos taken from the sky by a company in Niigata prefecture commissioned by TEPCO on March 20th and 24th immediately after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant were released.

I was shooting the reactor buildings of Units 1 to 4 at different angles, and the upper part of the building was severely damaged by the hydrogen explosion, and debris was scattered around, and the reactor building of Unit 3 looked like white steam. You can see how things are rising.

In addition, activities to resolve the accident are also shown, such as the appearance of several fire engines connected by hoses to the building by pumping seawater to cool the reactor.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has requested that the photographs taken at the time of the accident be reported and made public, but TEPCO reported this photograph to the Regulatory Commission because it was confused in the turmoil immediately after the accident. Was not done.

Photos can be viewed on the TEPCO website.
