More than 11 years later, Eminem has imprinted his apologies to Rihanna.

In 2009, Chris Brown was convicted of domestic violence after leaving the singer - his girlfriend at the time - with a swollen face and bruised body on the side of a California road in the middle of the night.

Following this sordid event, the rapper from Detroit had rapped in a title never released "of course I'm on the side of Chris Brown", song that had leaked last year only on the Web.

It seems that after a decade Slim Shady has seen his copy again.

In the song

Zeus

, released on his surprise album

Music to be Murdered By Side B

, released last Friday, Eminem says he "was wrong" to write these lyrics 11 years earlier.

Public apologies

“And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna / For that song that leaked, I'm sorry, Ri / It wasn't meant to cause you grief.

Regardless, it was wrong of me ”, he recalls, which can be translated as:“ Apologies, from the bottom of my heart, Rihanna / For that song that leaked, I'm sorry, Ri / Ce was not meant to cause you pain.

Despite everything, I was wrong ”.

Since 2009, Rihanna and Eminem have collaborated on numerous occasions together, notably on the hit

Love the Way You Lie

.

The singer, now at the head of a cosmetic and fashion empire in addition to her artistic career, had not publicly reacted to her colleague's words last year.

Eminem had let it be known through his spokesperson that it was a song "10 years old."

After recording it, Eminem threw it away and rewrote it, ”as the BBC recalls.
