Joe Garner (Omar Sy in French) jazz musician is killed in an accident when he has just been hired in a club.

In purgatory, he must take in hand a lonely soul (Camille Cottin) and convince her that life on Earth is worth living.

An astonishing being, Vendelune (Ramzy Bedia), makes the link between these two characters: one who dreams of returning to our world, the other who does not want to stay there.

This poetic and metaphysical tale allows the actors to deliver beautiful vocal performances while jazz music and New York sometimes steal the show to thrill the spectators.
