　　In 2020, Beijing Sport University will establish a hip-hop experimental class and recruit students nationwide. Currently, 11 students are studying in this major.

　　When I was at home, I practiced by myself, and the teachers rarely guided me. But after I came here, I followed the class every day, and I felt that I had improved a lot if I was guided.

　　[Explanation] Breakdancing into college classrooms, how to make it not only retain the characteristics of the dance form, but also make it conform to academic standards under the form of college education?

Li Xiaofen, deputy dean of the Art School of Beijing Sport University, believes that universities should actively connect with high-quality resources in society and retain the social attributes of street dance.

　　It has been influential in the hip-hop world. Teachers who have a certain representative and voice in the technology sector of the hip-hop world come into our university classrooms. This is one; the second one is that Beijing Sport University can also interact more with society. Clubs or more powerful teachers come together to do "workshops" and "work shows", combining our street dance culture, campus culture, and the campus model of street dance with the social model.

　　[Explanation] Recently, the International Olympic Committee has made a decision to add four major events, namely Breaking, Skateboarding, Rock Climbing and Surfing in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games; then, e-sports and breakdancing were officially approved for inclusion in the Hangzhou Asian Games Competition items.

　　Breakdancing news such as the successive "entry into the Olympics" and "Chongya" has made breakdancing become the focus of public attention, and it has undoubtedly boosted the confidence of breakdancing lovers and practitioners.

　　Entering the big platform of the Olympics itself is a recognition of the highest value for the sporting and highly competitive nature of the project.

　　[Explanation] Whether it’s the opening of the breakdancing major in universities, or the event that breakdancing has become in the Paris Olympic Games or the Hangzhou Asian Games, nowadays, breakdancing is more and more popular and understood by the public.

　　According to Chen Ruisi, a breakdancing teacher at the Art College of Beijing Sport University, breakdancing culture itself is a positive energy culture, and it is hoped that the outside world will take off the "colored glasses" for breakdance dancers.

　　Ten years ago, those people who didn't know much about Breaking culture or hip-hop culture might have some misunderstandings about Breaking, and might think that it was because some young people in society did not study well.

In fact, from its earliest origin, it is a kind of positive energy, including the struggle of replacing gangs with battles from (American) gangs, which formed the current Breaking culture.
