Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle announced that their new charity has partnered with the World Central Kitchen Organization, and its famous chef, to feed the hungry in disaster-stricken areas around the world.

The Harry & Meghan Foundation, a nonprofit (Archwell Foundation), will join with celebrity chef Jose Andres to build a chain of community relief centers.

These centers will be permanent facilities, which can be opened quickly to function as kitchens during emergencies, such as natural disasters, and can also serve as food distribution centers, schools, or clinics.

Harry and Meghan said in a statement to the press yesterday, "The health of our societies depends on our ability to communicate with our common humanity."

"When we think of Chef Andres and his amazing team at the World Central Kitchen, we remember that even in a year of unimaginable difficulties there are so many wonderful people who are willing to work tirelessly to support one another," they added.

The first of the four centers will open in 2021 on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean, and the second center will be located in Puerto Rico.
