In Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture, the water storage rate of the dam has dropped and there is a risk of water outages, so a water truck was dispatched from the local government in the prefecture and full-scale water supply activities began.

This problem indicates that if the water storage rate of the Komukai dam, which is the water source of Minamiboso City, is declining and falls below 20%, the city will start water outages in some areas of the city. ..

On the 21st, 10 water trucks were dispatched from the local government in Chiba prefecture to Minamiboso City, and the departure ceremony was held.

At the ceremony, Mayor Hiroshi Ishii of Minamiboso City said, "I would like to continue water supply activities to overcome this plight."

The city wants to send water trucks to hospitals, social welfare facilities, and schools that use a lot of water to start full-scale water supply activities, and to minimize the amount of water taken from dams to avoid water outages.

In addition, a total of 58,000 PET bottles of drinking water stored by Chiba Prefecture for disasters will be distributed to each household.

According to Minamiboso City, the city has decided to start the water outage next year because the decline in the water storage rate has been stopped by calling on residents to save water and replenishing water to the dam. It is expected to be postponed until February.

Mayor Ishii said, "I would like to ask for water supply activities at the end of the year and the New Year, and somehow avoid water outages."
