(Umm Faten) tells her story to Emirates Today, saying: “At the beginning of 2018, I started to feel several symptoms, including constant dizziness with body imbalance while walking, and my feet were weak, and I could not walk without assistance, for fear of falling on the ground In addition, the disease caused me to feel numbness in all parts of my body. ”

She added: “I went to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital, where tests and analyzes were conducted, which showed that I had multiple sclerosis, and I was hypnotized in the hospital, to start giving me treatment, which is a cortisone medicine intravenously for three days, and during my stay in the hospital, tests were taken Other medical, such as blood tests, magnetic resonance imaging of the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid withdrawal. All the results showed once again that I had multiple sclerosis.

She explained that the development of the disease in her body may reach a chronic physical disability that requires her to sit in a wheelchair, so she must continue to take the drug for life, to make her health condition stable.

"The cost of medicine for a year is 69,000 dirhams, and the problem is that my financial capabilities are modest, and it does not allow me to procure this amount," she added.

She added: “I had a (Aounak) card, which covers the entire cost of my treatment, but now it was refused to renew it, and I became confused in managing the amount of treatment, and I stopped for several months without medicine for its high cost, and this caused symptoms of the disease to appear again, and I feel weak in My left leg ».

And she indicated that she had seen doctors in the hospital, where she was diagnosed again, and new signs of the disease appeared in her body.

She explained that she works as a nurse with a salary of 10 thousand dirhams, which goes to all the necessities of life and the rent of housing, appealing to the people of good and those with merciful hearts to help her in managing the amount of treatment, before the symptoms of the disease multiply.
