In Hombori in the Malian Gourma desert, an advanced operational base now accommodates three units of the Malian armed forces and the desert tactical group 1 Lamy of the Barkhane force.
Malian and French soldiers will be training there in the coming weeks, with the aim of interoperability.
The ability to soon be able to fight side by side in the Malian Gourma.
