Recently, a 820-year-old ancient ginkgo tree by the Taihu Lake in Mashan, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, has reached the "most beautiful time" of the year.
This ancient ginkgo tree is about 26 meters high and requires at least 5 people to hug it.
When I came under the tree, I saw golden ginkgo leaves swaying in the air, falling to the ground in the wind, looking like a carpet from a distance.
It is reported that this ancient ginkgo tree is a fusion of male and female ginkgo trees. Now the traces of the two plants are still faintly distinguishable, so it is also called ancient ginkgo mandarin duck.
In 1983, this ancient ginkgo tree was listed as the "No. 1 Old Tree in Wuxi" and was fenced with iron fences for protection.
