In the case where employees of a staffing agency's sales office in Chiba Prefecture were arrested and prosecuted for dispatching former technical intern trainees from Vietnam whose period of stay had expired, the police were fully aware of the illegal dispatch. I sent documents to the company as a corporation on suspicion of promoting illegal employment, saying that I had not taken any corrective measures.

Four people, including the director of the Chiba sales office of the temporary staffing company "Socia Link" headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, dispatched former Vietnamese technical intern trainees whose period of stay has expired to a food factory in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. He was arrested and charged on suspicion of promoting illegal employment under the Immigration Control Act.

According to police, a subsequent investigation revealed that the Chiba Sales Office had reported that the head office had illegally dispatched about 80 people last November.

Although the head office instructed to cancel the contract at this time, the company as a corporation said that the police had not taken sufficient corrective measures because the sales office did not respond thoroughly and illegal dispatch was continued. I sent the documents today on suspicion of promoting illegal employment.

According to the police, the president of the temporary staffing agency told the investigation that "the response after receiving the report was insufficient."

"Socia Link" states, "We cannot comment at this stage because we have not confirmed the fact that the documents have been sent."
