With his latest contribution to WELT about the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, he initiated a discussion that is overdue.

Subject: Where does conspiracy theory begin?

And what is the responsibility of an educational institution committed to providing information?

The occasion was the foundation's regret that the writer Gunnar Kaiser was invited to host one of its events. The foundation admitted that this was a mistake, because Gunnar Kaiser advocates conspiracy theories that are part of right-wing populism - and for this reason he is not suitable as a moderator at events of a liberal foundation.
