In full preparation of the Beauvau of security, the case is controversial.

Thursday evening, around thirty police officers demonstrated howling sirens under the windows of the home of the mayor of Rennes in the Sud-Gare district.

An action strongly condemned by Nathalie Appéré who denounced this Friday in a letter of "methods of intimidation (...) not admissible in a democracy".

"The national police and their agents are a force in the service of republican order," she underlines.

The behaviors that I observed last night are not worthy of it ”.

After the outcry aroused by this action by the police, both on social networks and in the local political class, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin "requested a report from the Director General of the National Police and that sanctions be taken", his entourage told AFP.

The Alliance union denies being behind the action

In her letter to the Alliance Police Nationale union, which she accuses of being at the origin of the action, Nathalie Appéré recalls that "the demands aimed at improving working conditions, obtaining salary increases or social benefits must speak to the employer ”.

"Yours is the Ministry of the Interior," she said, addressing Frédéric Gallet, departmental secretary of the police union.

Asked by AFP, the latter said he was not aware of this action.

“Alliance has nothing to do with what happened.

I was not present.

Madame Appéré has the wrong target, ”he said.
