The eagle owl is the second-level national protected wildlife. The other is the roe deer, which was included in the 2013 Red List of Endangered Species of the World Conservation Union.

  On December 10, the police from the Forest Police Brigade of the Datong County Public Security Bureau received clues saying that there was an injured owl in a village in Huangjiazhai Town that needed urgent help.

After receiving the police, the police from the Forest Police Brigade and the police from Huangjiazhai Police Station immediately went to the scene for rescue.

After inspection, the animal is a national second-level protected wild animal, the eagle owl, which is large in size, severely injured on the right side of the body, poor mental state, temporarily unable to fly, and most likely to lose life in a short time.

In order to better rescue, the police immediately sent the injured eagle owl to Qinghai Wildlife Rescue Center for rescue.

  On December 15, the police from the Forest Police Brigade of the Datong County Public Security Bureau received a call from villagers in Qiaotou Town, stating that a roe deer came from their courtyard and asked for help.

It is reported that the roe deer has been included in China's "Nationally Protected List of Terrestrial Wild Animals with Important Economic and Scientific Value" and included in the "World Conservation Union" 2013 Red List of Endangered Species-Low Endangered.

  After receiving the police, the police immediately rushed to the villagers’ homes in Qiaotou Town to report the frightened roe deer around the corner of the courtyard and captured them. After careful inspection of the roe deer’s body, no trauma was found. It was a young roe deer. The police immediately contacted The forestry staff of Qiaotou Town, with the assistance of the staff, transported the roe deer to the Niangniangshan forest area for release.
