France: as Christmas approaches, the use of antigenic tests is increasing

As the holidays approach, caution is required to avoid a third wave of Covid-19.

The Scientific Council recommends self-containment a few days before reuniting with relatives.

But antigenic tests remain the main prevention tool that the French intend to use before family reunions.

Since the end of October, these rapid tests have been carried out free of charge and without a prescription in train stations and airports, as well as pharmacies which voluntarily participate in the testing strategy implemented by the health authorities.
