In Spain, the ski resorts are open, but not the borders.

The French learned it the hard way on Tuesday, the day of deconfinement, by rushing to the border where they were firmly awaited by the Spanish police.

The gendarmes of Haute-Garonne report on their Facebook page "the long queue" which formed Tuesday at the level of Melles-Pont-du-Roy, where the mossos d'esquadra, the Catalan police officers, invited all French motorists to turn back.

Fine of 300 euros in Catalonia

Because Catalonia but also Aragon are still confined by decisions of the local authorities.

"Only goods transport vehicles, cross-border workers and business trips with proof" are allowed to enter Catalonia, where "failure to comply with these measures results in a fine of 300 euros", remind the Haut-Garonnais gendarmes.
