[Explanation] On December 15th, "The Thousands of Flowers in the Book House-Special Exhibition of National Rare Ancient Books Collected in Chongqing" was launched in Chongqing Library.
[Explanation] It is understood that, as the highest standard exhibition of ancient books in Chongqing so far, the contents of the exhibition are divided into two parts. The original books of 150 precious ancient books are displayed in batches from 274 rare ancient books selected in the "National Catalog of Rare Ancient Books". , To reveal the precious value of these ancient books.

It is the first time in Chongqing that this kind of high-standard exhibition of precious ancient books is displayed together.
[Explanation] The reporter saw in the exhibition area that the treasures of Chongqing Library, such as the Tang manuscript "Great Prajna Paramita Sutra", and the Southern Song Dynasty carved edition "Famous Public Revisions and Annotated Sui Book Details Festival", attracted many citizens to stop by.
The main text of the Collection of Du Gongbu by Lu Kun in the Qing Dynasty has six colors of black, purple, blue, vermilion, green, and yellow. It is known as the most colorful set of printed books in ancient China, depicting famous mountains, rivers and scenery from all over China. Scenery, rare and precious ancient books such as the "New Engraving of the Wonders of the Sea" known as the "Ming Dynasty Tour Guide", and the "Book of Encouragement by the Empress of the Ming Dynasty" with the seal of the Empress of the Ming Dynasty have appeared.
[Commentary] The two hundred volumes of "General History" on display attracted the attention of visitors.
In this ancient book, you can see the slender handwritten characters and the ink penetrating the printed text on the back.
This set of ancient books has a total of 120 volumes and a total of about 14,000 pages, of which more than 5,000 pages were printed on official paper during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty.

It was printed on official paper at the time during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty.
Official document paper was the paper used for office documents at that time. In order to save this paper, the ancients used the back of the paper to print this book.
This leaves us with two documents.
The front of the book we see now is the book "General History", which is also very important. On the back of this paper, there are many basic administrative documents from the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty.
[Explanation] It is understood that since 2007, the Chongqing Library has implemented the "Chinese Ancient Books Protection Plan" and carried out the city's ancient book census. It took 10 years to complete more than 45,000 ancient book collections and more than 635,000 ancient books in Chongqing's 43 ancient book collection units. A large number of rare and precious ancient books have been discovered through the work of descriptive, review and publication.
On this basis, this special exhibition is a comprehensive display of national precious ancient books in Chongqing.
