A reporter from the Beijing News learned from the local town government that the location of the earthquake was the Jinjitan Coal Mine, which was the normal collapse of the coal mine goaf. There were no casualties or house collapses.

  At about 11 o'clock on December 15, the staff of the Jinjitan Township Government told the Beijing News that the goaf of the Jinjitan Coal Mine in the earthquake system collapsed normally.

At the time of the incident, the Jinjitan Coal Mine was in normal production.

No casualties or house collapses have been found.

  Public information shows that Jinjitan Coal Mine is located in Yuyang District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, and belongs to Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. It is a supporting mine for the 1 million tons/year indirect coal liquefaction comprehensive utilization project.

The buried depth of the coal seam of the mine is between 230-430 meters, the geological resource reserves are 1.826 billion tons, and the designed recoverable reserves are 898 million tons.

The Jinjitan Coal Mine Project has a total estimated investment of 4.634 billion yuan. Construction was officially started in February 2012 and trial production was completed at the end of June 2014.
