  On the morning of December 15th, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Propaganda Department of Wugang Municipal Party Committee that there was indeed the aforementioned incident, which occurred on December 12.

A 79-year-old man in a certain village in Dengjiapu Town of the city suffered from lymphoma and had not been cured after repeated treatments. His body was very painful and he did not want to affect his children, so he thought of committing suicide.

  "(The old man) had his wrist cut, and he was dying when he was rescued." A person in charge of the Propaganda Department of Wugang Municipal Party Committee told The Paper that local people called the police when they found the old man.

Subsequently, the local police station immediately sent police to the scene to rescue the old man.

  Online video showed that a gray-haired old man was trapped in a cave, and then the old man was carried out of the cave by several people.

According to the content of the Internet, the old man lives alone and suffers from cancer. Because he is worried that he will be left unattended after death, he dug a hole and waited for his death.

  "His son was on the scene when he was rescued. The old man and his son were in Beijing before and came back to (home) during this time. (The old man) does not live alone, but has a wife at home." The person in charge said that the police rescued the old man. Later, the 120 ambulance promptly sent the elderly to the hospital for treatment.
