This group of post-90s cheats post-00s: "Send equipment" cheated thousands of elementary and middle school students' WeChat accounts

The police in Xihu District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang recently smashed a criminal gang that defrauded WeChat accounts in Dongguan, Guangdong, and arrested more than 20 people. The deceived WeChat accounts were basically primary and secondary school students after "00".

In September, the Hangzhou police found in a fraud case that the original owner of the WeChat account where the suspect and the victim were chatting was a Hebei elementary school student. WeChat was suddenly used in Dongguan a few days before the incident.

As a result, a criminal gang that defrauded WeChat accounts to sell online emerged.

In October, the police arrested more than 20 people in Dongguan, seized more than 100 mobile phone cards, and a special card pool device.

The gang members are all post-90s, and their targets are basically post-00 primary and secondary school students.

According to reports, the gang used the "fan" team to post advertisements such as "borrow WeChat to like the company's official account and send game skins" online, asking for the login password or mobile phone login verification code, and change the password after obtaining the account. Unbind the original phone.

After preliminary investigation, thousands of accounts across the country were deceived.

Subsequently, the gang categorized and marked prices based on the time of use, whether there was a password for payment, etc., and sold them at 100 to 500 yuan each.

According to the suspect's account, they knew that most of the defrauded accounts were eventually bought by criminals who carried out online fraud and online gambling to commit crimes.
