After having sung over an excerpt from the live concert, Catherine Ringer explains, still in song, how her voice has changed over time, from a high-pitched and pointed voice to deep and rounded sounds in a quarter of a second. .

“Over time, the voice changes,” she explains in a low-pitched voice.

"I'm still fortunate to have a voice that's pretty good, but it's gone down quite a bit."

Catherine Ringer is able to sing deeper today than when she first began.

"I could speak with Johnny in another way this time. Or maybe with Grand Corps Malade, who uses this very sweet and beautiful way," she laughs, seeming to imitate them.

"I tell myself that I made weird melodies"

The singer specifies that the most important thing over time is to continue to exercise your voice.

"The voice is a muscle," she recalls.

"Especially when you make gaps like that, going up and down, singing loud and not loud, it keeps up."

Even if she recognizes that time also changes the voice in an immutable way.

"Since my menopause, it's true that I sing more serious than before," she observes.

But may those who, young or old, never succeed in singing to a song by Rita Mitsouko, be reassured.

Catherine Ringer readily admits that she and Fred Chichin never composed easy-to-sing things.

"My melodies are not always easy," she laughs.

"Sometimes I told myself I made weird melodies."
