This rice cake making is held every year at this time to make Kagami mochi to decorate Hikone Castle, and on the 14th, the staff of Hikonyan and the castle management office participated.



35 kg of sticky rice is prepared in the square in front of the castle tower, and when the rice cakes are made hard with Hikonyan in response to the staff's shouts, the visitors cheered "Do your best" I did.



Some of the rice cakes that came up were made into soybean flour on the spot and served free of charge by Hikonyan, and the visitors were eating the freshly made rice cakes deliciously.

Tsuita mochi will be displayed as Kagami mochi at the entrance of the castle tower from the 24th of this month to the 4th of next month.
