It looks like a slingshot.

The ecological president of the metropolis of Lyon posted this Sunday his intention to reopen the Musée des Confluences, even if the government should not follow up on his request.

"We wrote to the Prime Minister [Jean Castex] to request this reopening," said Bruno Bernard in an interview with the regional daily

Le Progrès.

"I hope that we study this reopening even if we do not have a favorable response," adds the elected.

“Ideally, the idea would be to open it at the start of the school holidays, so next weekend”.

This museum is a popular institution for families whose exhibits range from ethnology, life sciences and the history of science.

Bruno Bernard says he is “angry” at the decision to keep cultural institutions closed to fight against the spread of Covid-19.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, co-signed by the mayors of Lyon Gregory Doucet (EELV) and Villeurbanne Cédric Van Styvendael (PS), he denounces a decision "of extreme violence for the cultural world".
