John Le Carré, the great master of spy novels - and a former British intelligence agent - has died at the age of 89.
The CEO of his publishing house, The Curtis Brown Group, has confirmed this in a statement, in which he clarifies that the death was not due to the coronavirus.
Le Carré wrote many spy novels, and became famous thanks to Agent Smiley, the protagonist of many of his masterpieces, such as 'The Mole'.
