Banksy is an anonymous English street artist, known for his satirical graffiti paintings that occasionally appear a bit everywhere in the world.

One of his most famous antics was when he shredded one of his works, which had just been sold for SEK 12 million, in front of shocked auction visitors in London 2018.

Now Banksy has caused a stir again, this time in Bristol, after he erected a painting on a house wall belonging to a family that was in the middle of the sale process.

Can be worth millions

The value of the house, which was initially around 300,000 pounds, has since Banksys' effort increased to up to five million pounds, according to assessors that British media have spoken to.

The sum corresponds to almost 56 million Swedish kronor.

The incident, which received a lot of attention in the UK, caused the owners to temporarily stop the sale of the house.

But on Saturday, the news came that they are still planning to sell.

- When you wake up to the newspapers writing that your house is now worth five million pounds, you have to think about what you are doing.

But this does not change the fact that we are going to sell the house, says Nick Makin, the son of the family, to The Guardian.

According to him, the family must have installed an alarm to protect the painting.

- We have not earned five million pounds on this, as it says in the newspapers, but it has actually cost us money to protect it.

The artwork should be protected and remain where it is, says Nick Makin.

Banksy confirms

On Thursday afternoon, the artist Banksy confirmed that the painting of the sneezing woman, named "Aachoo !!"

was his.

It is currently unclear how much the final price of the house will land on.
