Snow is piled up in Gyeonggi and Incheon areas, while heavy snowfall warnings are being issued in the Gyeonggi area. Only 1cm of snow is still being recorded, but as this snow and rain cloud zone expands, it will snow in the south as well as in the central region.
In addition, as heavy snow preliminary warnings have been issued in other parts of the interior of the central region, a lot of snow will accumulate mainly in the central region during the daytime.
Until late this afternoon, 2~7cm of snow will fall and accumulate in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong and the northern inland of Gyeongbuk, and up to 10cm of snow will come in the southern part of Yeongseo, Gangwon.
In addition, there will be 1~3cm of snow and 5mm of rain in the south as well. Along with this snow and rain, a very strong wind will blow in most seas today.
Most of the current temperatures are departing below freezing, and during the daytime, the chill will drop behind these snow and rain clouds, leaving Seoul at 3 degrees Celsius.
Therefore, tomorrow morning, a severe cold wave will come with a drop of 10 degrees from today.
