On the afternoon of the 11th, a house was burnt down in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.
Police are rushing to confirm that they are an 88-year-old mother living in this house and a 67-year-old daughter living next door.
Before 3:00 pm on the 11th, a nearby person reported to the fire department that "a fire is out of the house" by Shigeko Imaoka (88), an unemployed person in Yasue, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture.
The fire was extinguished about an hour after the fire broke out, but a two-story wooden house was burned down and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.
According to the police, Mr. Imaoka lives alone and his eldest daughter, 67 years old, lives in the next house, but after the fire, he has lost contact with them.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming that it was Mr. Imaoka and his daughter who died.
The site is a residential area about 1 km west of JR Kurashiki Station.
