In a trial in which more than 1,000 residents around the U.S. military Yokota Air Base in Tokyo filed a complaint against the country for noise damage, the Supreme Court decided to dismiss the appeal from the residents and ordered the country to compensate while suspending the flight of military aircraft. The ruling that does not admit has been finalized.

More than 1,000 residents around Yokota Air Base have asked the government to suspend flights at night and early in the morning and to compensate for the damage caused by the noise of US military aircraft and SDF aircraft.

The first trial admitted the noise damage in the past and ordered the government to compensate, and the Tokyo High Court of the second trial also pointed out last year that "it has exceeded the limit that can be tolerated in social life and has been illegally infringed on rights and interests." , Ordered the government to compensate for more than 760 million yen, but dismissed the proceedings regarding the suspension of flight and compensation for the future.

Residents had appealed this, but Judge Hiroyuki Kanno of the Second Small Court of the Supreme Court decided to dismiss by the 10th, and the judgment of the second trial was finalized.

Regarding the Supreme Court's decision, the plaintiffs commented on their homepage, "Unfortunately, our urgent wishes for suspension of flights at night and early morning and future claims for damages have been rejected this time as well."
