The protection of the Russian-speaking population, expressed in Russia's support for the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol, has caused a whole wave of sanctions against individuals and legal entities of our country.
This flywheel has been launched with such force that many measures are the product of inertia, and not thoughtful and logical decisions.
Four years of Trump's presidency have not changed the situation.
This is partly a matter of informational and political pressure.
The alleged collusion with Russia on the equally alleged interference of our country in the US elections deliberately limited the field for Trump to conduct an adequate policy towards our country.
In addition, the President of the United States was very manipulated.
Still, politics and business are fundamentally different things.
It is Putin who keeps all the numbers in his head, plunges deeply into the subject and does not give in to even skillful lobbying (yes, our president is a great fellow).
Well, Trump has repeatedly been publicly lost in geography, geopolitics, and what not.
Now the Democrats are at the helm.
They have already indicated that collective sanctions are considered more effective.
It is clear that the same sanctions flywheel will wind up on itself and this administration.
It is not clear only which teams are afraid of?
Workers?
Maybe retirees and doctors?
Deputies and judges?
It is clear that we are in the conditions of an undeclared war.
More precisely, already declared cold and hybrid.
So the Democrats' task is simple: continue to stifle the economy, try to narrow the space for our independent policy, slow down the recovery of the Russian economy after the coronavirus crisis and continue to create a belt of unfriendly political regimes around Russia.
As we can see, even a threat of a civilizational scale did not lead to a pooling of efforts.
Anything to dismantle the latest international agreements, withdraw from any collective organizations and launch a new arms race.
I think that even the United Nations, the same Americans would like to replace the new League of Privileged Nations.
Trump fought right and left.
I think that the Biden administration will try to organize a new united front, the main goal - and this is ridiculous, of course - will not be collective development and economic cooperation, but the piercing of the wheels of a car with the Russian tricolor.
All this means that we need to build our own "roads" along which it will be convenient for our neighbors to travel, as well as those countries where people are in power who have not lost the remnants of adequacy and sanity.
