At 9:30 on December 8, four law enforcement boats honked their horns and set sail at Jingha Wharf in Xishuangbanna, China, marking the official launch of the 100th China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand joint patrol on the Mekong River.

  Before the sailing, the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department held a grand sailing ceremony. The relevant persons in charge of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department presented the flag to the Chinese mission team at the Mengmo and Banxiangguo contact points in Laos.

  It is reported that the joint patrol and law enforcement is expected to be carried out for 4 days and 3 nights, with a total voyage of more than 620 kilometers, and will pass through the waters of the border between China and Myanmar, the border between Laos and Myanmar, and the border between Laos and Myanmar and Thailand.

At the same time, in order to pay close attention to various epidemic prevention and control measures, the 100th cruise will take a combination of segmented patrols and full-line cruises.

  It is understood that since the launch of China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand joint patrol and law enforcement on the Mekong River, a total of 99 patrols and law enforcement services have been carried out, with a total of 787 law enforcement boats and 15,818 law enforcement personnel dispatched, with a total voyage of 56,100 kilometers.

A total of 4,600 kilograms of drugs were seized, 130 merchant ships in distress were rescued, thousands of merchant ships were escorted, and a total of 188 million yuan in economic losses were recovered for the people of the countries along the river.
