Nutritionist: Mayonnaise is healthy and has fewer calories

The Russian "Sputnik" news agency quoted a nutritionist, Professor at the Department of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition at the Peoples' Friendship University Alexei Kovalkov, as saying that mayonnaise is made from healthy foods and contains fewer calories than the caloric content of sunflower or even olive oil. Fats are the same, so you shouldn't be afraid to eat them.

According to him.

According to the agency, the nutritionist confirmed during a telephone conversation with the Russian "Zvezda" channel that "there is nothing harmful in this product."

He pointed out that "mayonnaise is made from healthy foods. If we take its formula, it includes sunflower or olive oil, mustard, quail eggs, and maybe chicken eggs and a little sugar."

Stressing that sugar is perhaps the most terrible thing in its composition.

Kovalkov emphasized that mayonnaise should not be abandoned at the New Year's table;

Especially for people who follow the principles of healthy eating throughout the year, the use of mayonnaise in festive table dishes does not threaten any harmful consequences.

"Mayonnaise contains fewer calories than sunflower or even olive oil. The fat content is the same, meaning that olive oil is pure fat, and mayonnaise contains about 80% of fat, so there is no need to fear mayonnaise."
