The investigation into the attack in Conflans on October 16 continues to advance.

Five men, suspected of having been in contact by telephone with Abdullakh Anzorov, who beheaded Samuel Paty, were taken into police custody on Monday morning.

Investigators from the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (Sdat), responsible for the investigation with the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) suspect them of having communicated by courier with the killer.

Six college students prosecuted

In this case, 14 people are already being prosecuted, including six college students.

Five of them were indicted for "complicity in a terrorist assassination", accused of having designated the 47-year-old professor to Anzorov.

Brahim Chnina, the parent of a student behind the teacher's smear campaign, and the Islamist activist who had supported him, Abdelhakim Sefrioui, are also being prosecuted for "complicity".
