The series tells the story of an orphan girl becoming a chess champion in 1950s America.

A woman in an essentially male world and a success that has very concrete repercussions.

Because there are two stars in the series: the main character, and chess.

And in recent weeks, more and more women are approaching chess clubs, while so far, they only represented a little over 20% of licensees.

This is the case, for example, at the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés chess club, which has set up exclusively female courses.  

A very masculine world

After devouring the seven episodes of the series on television, it is now in front of her computer screen that Celine spends her Wednesday evenings.
