  Xie Qiang, director of the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission, introduced that in the morning of the same day, Chengdu's Pidu District notified the district of a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia.

As of 20 o'clock on the same day, 55 close contacts of confirmed cases in Chengdu have been traced, a total of 21,615 people have been sampled, and 1,827 people have completed nucleic acid tests. One of them is positive (patient 2) and the rest are negative.

  Patient 1 Lu Moumou is a 69-year-old female who is unemployed and lives in Group 11 of Taiping Village, Pitong Street, Pidu District.

On December 6, due to symptoms such as cough and sputum, I took a private car to the People's Hospital of Pidu District for treatment.

Admission to the hospital to monitor the body temperature of 36.2 ℃, lung CT showed scattered ground glass shadows in both lungs, the case was isolated and observed in accordance with the standardized procedures, and then diagnosed.

  Patient 2 Zhao Moumou is a 71-year-old male, unemployed, and is the husband of patient 1.

Nucleic acid was detected in the isolation test of close contacts, combined with abnormal chest CT results, the diagnosis was confirmed at 20 o'clock that night.

  According to Zong Zhiyong, director of the Department of Infection Management of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and a clinical treatment expert, patient 1 is currently in a serious condition and meets the severe standards of new coronavirus pneumonia.

Patient 2 currently has no symptoms, but CT suggests that he has viral pneumonia, and the possibility of changes is not ruled out.

  Zhu Xiaoping, head of the disease prevention and control expert group of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission's response to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, introduced that the local area has systematically investigated the epidemiological situation of patients, and carried out follow-up of patient travel trajectory and big data tracking.

Patient 1's trajectory is relatively limited, near Taiping Village.

Patient 2's activity trajectory is relatively large, and she pulls a tricycle daily, and the activity trajectory is further investigated and verified.

  As of 20 o'clock on the same day, 55 people in close contact with confirmed cases in Chengdu have been traced locally, a total of 21,615 people have been sampled, and 1,827 people have completed nucleic acid tests. One of them is positive (patient 2) and the rest are negative.

A total of 362 environmental and food samples were collected, and 126 nucleic acid tests were completed, of which 4 were positive, 7 were positive at the initial screening (all at the patient’s home), and the rest were negative.

The remaining samples are being tested.

  At present, the local area has implemented control and environmental elimination of cases, the People's Hospital of Pidu District where they have lived and stayed in close proximity, and Taiping Village, Pitong Town.

  According to official sources from the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission, confirmed cases in Chengdu were cleared to zero on March 19 this year, and the confirmed cases in the following months were all imported.

Why did the local confirmed case appear this time?

In this regard, Zhu Xiaoping said that relevant departments are rushing to carry out genetic sequencing of cases and use the sequencing results to explore the source of the virus strain, but it will take some time for the virus to trace its origin.

  It is reported that since 21 o'clock that day, Taiping Village, Pitong Street, Pidu District, Chengdu City has been designated as a medium-risk area, and corresponding control measures have been implemented.

The risk level of other regions in Chengdu remains unchanged.
