A farewell event is being held locally before the giant panda "Xiang Xiang", which was born three years ago at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo and is gaining popularity due to its lovely appearance, is returned to China.

The female giant panda, Xiang Xiang, which was born at Ueno Zoo three years ago, is about to be returned to China on the 31st of this month.



Prior to this, the local tourism federation has been holding a farewell event entitled "Thank you! Xiang Xiang" from the 4th.



Many fans participated in the stamp rally, which goes around local department stores, and smiled with a postcard with the lovely "Xiang Xiang" in their hands.



The woman who participated said, "I have enjoyed watching the growth of Xiang Xiang. It is sad to leave, but I want you to have a baby and come back to Ueno again."



In addition, at a talk show that talks about memories of "Xiang Xiang" on a special stage, Director Yutaka Fukuda of Ueno Zoo showed an episode that he had been taking care of for about three months after his birth.



Director Fukuda said, "Please continue to support Xiang Xiang, who is growing in China."



This event will run until the 6th.
