The British Fashion Council honored, on Thursday, 20 people and brands, including "Chanel" and "Burbury", for being, according to this body responsible for promoting British fashion, "leading the change" in a year overshadowed by the health crisis.

The Council announced the names of the honorees in a video clip posted on the Internet, noting that the French "Chanel" had changed its production in order to support the production of health protection supplies, and that the British company "Burbury" had converted the efforts of its factory from trench coats (trench coats) to manufacturing non-surgical medical uniforms.

More than 800 people from the global fashion industry participated in the selection of winners in four categories.

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton were among the most prominent presenters.

The list of winners also included designer Michael Halpern, for his honor to health care workers during London Fashion Week, and for his contribution to the production of equipment to prevent "Corona".

In the celebrity category, the accolades included designer Aurora James, who is based in New York, and she chose it because she encouraged retailers to allocate 15% of their sales space to brands owned by black people.

In the environmental category, the British honored Stella McCartney for having "raised the bar for creativity and sustainability" in the fashion sector.

British designer Jonathan Anderson won an award in the creativity category for having devised ways to make fashion shows adapt "to the constraints associated with the (Covid-19) pandemic," according to the Fashion Council.
