The first half of the autumn's cultural support will be distributed on Thursday.

Just over half of those who applied have been approved when SEK 400 million is now distributed.

Kulturnyheterna has previously reported that the applications have been twice as many this autumn as this spring and that the money would not be enough in the long run.

Now the organization Swedish is roaring live against the government: they believe that the government has lowered promised levels of support.

"Do again do right"

"We warned already in the spring that the need during the summer could be up to three times as great as in the spring, but the government chose to ignore it.

When the crisis is at its greatest, they instead choose to reduce support for the organizers ", writes Joppe Pihlgren, operations manager, Svensk Live in a press release urging the government to redo and do the right thing - and send more money to the organizers who received lower amounts than the counted with.

Less for more

The support for organizers for missed events that should have been held between 1 June and 30 September amounted to a maximum of 75 percent of the loss of revenue up to one million kronor.

For amounts over one million, the percentage ceiling would be 50.

Now a new sum has appeared: SEK 524,900.

Those who applied for an amount below it receive mainly 75 percent.

Of the remaining amounts, they have distributed 25 percent.

In other words, the support has been distributed in lower sums to be enough for more people.

“The support that is granted this and next week will be the salvation for many, but at the same time we see that the money is not enough for everyone who needs support.

The needs are greater than the supply ", states the Swedish Arts Council's Director General Kajsa Ravin in a press release.

Sweden rock among the winners

Those who have received the largest payments are Astrid Lindgren's world and Sweden rock, which received ten million kronor each.

Svensk Live will turn to the government with demands for increased payments, Kulturnyheterna is looking for Minister of Culture Amanda Lind (MP).
