Seductive, calculating, and Darwinian ... Here are three adjectives that would best qualify Emmanuel Macron according to the book "Burglar President" by political journalist Corinne Lhaïk.

She was at the microphone of Europe 1, Wednesday, to say a little more about the psychological and political profile of the President of the Republic.

INTERVIEW

How does Emmanuel Macron behave behind the cameras?

The political journalist Corinne Lhaïk, who works in the editorial staff of

L'Opinion

, managed to find out a little more at the end of a long investigation that she reports in her book

Burglar President

.

After more than a hundred interviews, she paints a portrait of a ruthless seducer, as she recounts in

Europe midi

at the microphone of Patrick Cohen.

"He spears you"

Emmanuel Macron knows how to put people in his pocket.

"In his relationship with people, he has little affect but he seeks that of others and triggers feelings almost love. This relationship is very unequal because he uses the relationship he has forged. The others there. believe, a bit like in a couple, like in a seductive relationship between two people. The relationship is completely unequal, so it creates a lot of expectations and disappointment, "she explains.

And according to her, this seduction occurs in a very particular way.

"She has to practice face-to-face because she is very physical. It starts with the gaze. He has a transparent blue gaze. He stares at you, harpoons you (...) And then, he is very tactile. More with men than with women because with women, he feels that you still have to maintain a little distance. So he starts to take your hand, arm, shoulder and you are shod and you believe it. And it tells you, like all good seducers, what you want to hear, "says Corinne Lhaïk.

And when the flirtation is no longer useful or the relationship is no longer interesting for Emmanuel Macron, he simply cuts contact, according to Corinne Lhaïk.

According to the journalist, this is exactly what happened with Philippe de Villiers this summer.

When he became embarrassing during the Puy du Fou episode after the first confinement, the president stopped answering his calls and texts.

"Philippe de Villiers was very angry this summer. He wanted to run for president against Macron to be beaten for the presidency," says Corinne Lhaïk.

"He is someone very Darwinian"

No feeling at work either.

For the journalist, Emmanuel Macron is "very Darwinian", he thinks that a certain "natural selection" applies, that the people who work for him must be the best.

He "is harsh in silence. He never tells them anything, because there is no thank you. There is no recognition," she continues.

Before continuing: "He considers that they are sacrificial militants who are there to devote themselves to the public cause".
