Emirati adventurer Khalifa Al Mazrouei, one of the team members, explained to Emirates Today that the preparation for this adventure took nearly a week, and he began preparing the flag, then the team made a number of exploratory tours to determine the most appropriate place to raise the flag, so that it is clear from various sides, The distance to climb to the chosen site has also been planned.

Noting that the team was led by Sheikh Mayed bin Jamal Al Qasimi, and included: Khalifa Al Ghafri, Khaled Al Harami, Omar Khaled, Adel Al Jasmi, Mahmoud Al Salami, Adel Gharib, and Natalia Krabik.

Stages and difficulties

Al Mazrouei added: “We made several tours in the streets of Ras Al Khaimah, looking for a place on Jebel Jais, which everyone could see from different directions, and indeed we found a distinct location, but he needed to climb the mountain at a certain height, with the use of special mountaineering tools, so it was necessary Our preparations include climbing training, calculating the time required to reach the specified location, as well as providing the required tools.

Regarding the difficulties that the team faced during this adventure, Al Mazrouei pointed out that there were various difficulties, including their keenness to choose a clear place to raise the flag for everyone to see, and during the climb they faced difficulties of another kind represented in the cold weather and low temperature, so that it reached seven degrees At dawn, there was also difficulty in raising and fixing the flag in the region that was chosen because its rocks are fragile, so certain tools and materials were used until the flag was installed to stay tall forever.

The team members expressed their pride and happiness in participating in the state's celebrations of its 49th National Day, by raising the flag, as an expression of their belonging to the Emirates and their pride in this belonging, and their desire to respond even a small part of what the state offered them.
