[Explanation] Starting from December 1, 2020, the newly revised "Shanghai Rail Transit Passenger Code" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code") has been officially implemented, which clarifies that passengers are not allowed to play mobile phones, tablets and other electronic products.

On the first day of the implementation of the new regulations, reporters interviewed passengers at People's Square Station and found that many passengers welcomed the decision to "mute" subway cars.

  [Concurrent] Passenger Ms. Qiang

  I agree, I think it's good.

  [Concurrent] Passenger Ms. Zhang

It's convenient for you and others, so you don't have to disturb others.

[Explanation] The Shanghai Rail Transit Police stated that passengers who violate the new regulations will be discouraged. Once passengers do not cooperate with the subway operator’s measures to prohibit loud loudspeakers, and affect or endanger the normal operation of the subway line, the police will intervene in accordance with the law deal with.

If we discover the above (violation of the code) during the inspection, we should promote it one by one, and the publicity should be to promote the rail transit passenger code.

The second point is to dissuade. If the propaganda dissuasion does not cooperate and the attitude is bad, we will still transfer it to the rail police for handling.

[Explanation] At present, each subway line in Shanghai is equipped with a six-person law enforcement team, which patrols stations and cars every day to persuade uncivilized behavior.

The Shanghai Metro has also gradually posted signs in the train compartments, and at the same time reminded passengers in the broadcast that it is prohibited to emit sound when using electronic devices.

Many passengers told reporters that the implementation of the new regulations has increased their confidence to discourage such behavior.

At the same time, some passengers hope to extend this regulation to other modes of transportation such as high-speed rail.

  [Concurrent] Passenger Mr. Feng

I will remind him that there is now this regulation, unlike before, there is no confidence.

  [Concurrent] Passenger Ms. Shen

In fact, as far as the subway is concerned, the relative (ride) time is still relatively small, and the impact is not so great.

But the impact of high-speed rail may be even greater.

Because the high-speed rail is now evading fares or occupying seats, these have relevant legal support.

For flight attendants or passengers, if I stop these things, I will be more confident, and the high-speed rail will take longer.

[Explanation] It is reported that the new "Code" increases the number of prohibited behaviors for passengers from 14 to 17.

The "Code" will include: "carry bicycles (including foldable bicycles), use balance bikes, skateboards, scooters, roller skates and other power-assisted transportation tools"; "carry items with serious peculiar smell, pungent smell, and unsafe packaging "Fragile, sharp objects, carrying inflatable balloons" etc. are included in the regulations.
