[Well-off China] China's Tibetan black pottery hometown: Go overseas to revitalize the countryside

[Explanation] Black pottery is the crystallization of Chinese Tibetan culture and art.

The characteristics of black pottery products are black, thin and light, and can show purple, indigo, silver and other colors under different light.

Recently, in Nixi Township, Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the hometown of Tibetan black pottery, the reporter saw that, with the success of black pottery in the Chinese market in recent years, the "hometown of black pottery", which has doubled confidence, tried to go to overseas markets and borrowed This develops tourism and revitalizes the countryside.

[Explanation] In recent years, with the improvement of the Great Dianxi tourist loop and the continuous development of Shangri-La's tourism industry, Nissi black pottery has become the most representative cultural and tourism product in Shangri-La.

Its value is no longer just a daily necessities, but a handicraft with both practical and cultural aesthetics.

We have also been innovating, and these, this is a bowl of black pottery, it has not been before, and it has only been a few years since we started to make this tableware.

Like me here, if we are about the same age (black potters), there will be more than one hundred, and if all the elderly people add up, there should be one or two hundred people, all doing our traditional Nisi culture, Nisi Some innovative crafts of black pottery.

[Explanation] Jiang Yingjiangcuo told reporters that the older generation of craftsmen most often make earthen pots, butter teapots and braziers, while the new generation of craftsmen make more black pottery into handicrafts, constantly bringing forth the new.

[Explanation] Seeing such a change, Larongzhaba, a rich man from Tangdui Village who has worked hard for many years, returned home last year.

He and the black potters in the village jointly established the Shangri-La Nissi Black Pottery Development Co., Ltd., in order to change the current situation of the sporadic production of Nissi black pottery craft products and the lack of scale.

It is also necessary to expand overseas markets, develop rural tourism, and drive Nixi Township's overall income and wealth.

[Concurrent] Larongzhaba, a villager in Tangdui Village, Nixi Town

Because of our Nixi Tangdui Village, it is 27 kilometers away from Shangri-La County. The only way to the ancient tea-horse road back then is only 27 kilometers away from the city in this place. In the future, our ideas will also be our everything, black pottery, etc. It is our hometown’s industries, wooden bowls, paper making, and many other things that I want to sell to Nepal. I have this idea.

[Explanation] Larong Zaba said that he plans to transform the Tibetan houses in the village into boutique homestays, allowing more tourists to experience the original Tibetan food, singing, dancing and culture.

Take rural tourism as the starting point to drive villagers to get rich and revitalize the rural economy.
