Zhuzi Cultural Park, located in Youxi County, Fujian Province, is a large-scale and distinctive Zhuzi cultural landscape belt, including Nanxi Academy, Kaishan Academy, Zhuzi Cultural Garden, Youxi Museum, etc., where Zhu Xi was born.
What’s amazing is that there are 4 "wen gong pens" in the main hall of Wei Zhai Temple of Nanxi Academy. The material is mahogany. The weight of each pen reaches 500 kg. The height of the pen holder is 4.788 meters and the pen length is 3.637 meters. The length is 1.133 meters, the diameter of the pen is 0.56 meters, and the penholder is engraved with Zhu Xi's handwriting "The foundation of reading, the foundation of the family, the foundation of harmony and the foundation of the family, the foundation of diligence and thrift."
The "Wen Gong Pen" was designed by Mr. Zou Nonggeng, a brush maker master in Jinxian County, Jiangxi. When choosing the brush hair, he specially made the extra-long fiber brush hair. It took two months to complete the brush hair.
It took five months for "Wen Gong Pen" from design to production and installation.
