The world prepares for

a global vaccination campaign unprecedented in human history

when the coronavirus has already infected 61,645,535 people and killed 1,442,671.

In the last 24 hours, the World Health Organization (WHO) registered 1,200 new deaths,

the third highest daily figure in the pandemic so far

.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) does not expect to complete the evaluation of the

coronavirus

vaccines

"most advanced candidates until the end of this year at the earliest", although it does expect to receive the first conditional marketing request from pharmaceutical companies "in the following days".

Spain reaches the end of November with the decrease in the incidence rate of the coronavirus -which stands at 307 cases per 100,000 inhabitants- and the announcement of the three phases of massive application of the vaccine to stop it.

The vaccination plan presented by the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, estimates that in June the anticovid vaccine had already been provided to the majority of the Spanish population, which has been divided into 18 groups for inoculation according to their vulnerability and risk before the disease.

The most concrete data is that in March 2.5 million people will have been vaccinated in our country.

08.30 Protest of hoteliers in Burgos due to restrictions due to the coronavirus

More than a hundred hoteliers in the Burgos capital

will open their establishments

this Saturday as a protest against the restrictions imposed by the Junta de Castilla y León in the face of epidemiological evolution, as reported by this movement through a statement collected by Europa Press.

The participating hoteliers justify this "protest" in the "agonizing situation" of the hotel industry, which "is taking on dramatic and very worrying tints" in the city, in which many locals find it impossible to guarantee their survival while uncertainty grows about when and in what conditions the sector will be allowed to reopen.

For all this, more than a hundred hospitality companies have announced that they will carry out

"an act of civil disobedience"

and will open the doors of their businesses from 12:30 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 22:00, while at 12:00 a manifest will be read.

"We are not opening to carry out ordinary activity, but as a warning to administrations that we need, immediately, measures that end the restrictions and allow us to work," they have sentenced.

07.37 Frankfurt airport enters the 'hot phase' to distribute the anticovid vaccine

"The stress is increasing now that we are entering the 'hot phase' of preparations for the distribution" of the coronavirus vaccine, Karin Krestan, head of the pharmaceutical center of the Lufthansa Cargo company, told AFP.

Once approved by the authorities, some of the

millions of vaccines against Covid-19

will pass through Europe's largest transport hub for pharmaceuticals at Frankfurt Airport in Germany, for what promises to be

a global vaccination campaign without precedents in the history of mankind.

The facility, which has 12,000 square meters, with refrigeration, to store this type of product, handled 120,000 tons of cargo last year.
