The section of the river where fishermen work all year round belongs to the Yangtze River Yichang Chinese Sturgeon Nature Reserve in Hubei.

  [Explanation] Liu Zecui, a villager in Baishuigang Village, is 65 years old. Since he was 11 years old, he has been fishing with his father in the Yangtze River and has been a fisherman for more than 50 years.

After the start of a comprehensive ban on fishing in the Yangtze River Basin, Liu Zecui became the first batch of fishermen to come ashore in Yidu.

Nowadays, he and his wife take their grandson with them, grow vegetables and raise chickens, and are at ease.
