Odd Uhrbom photographed people in heavy industries, such as forestry in Värmland, tin mines in Bolivia and the steel industry in Fagersta.
In the late 60's he photographed the mines in Malmberget and Svappavara and the pictures were published together with texts by the author Sara Lidman in the book Gruva.
The description of the miners' conditions became important for the Great Mining Strike.
Odd Uhrbom turned 79 years old.
