The first section of the National Archives wing begins with a wall decorated with pictures of the sheikhs of the Emirates, and a set of maps and letters that the sheikhs of the Emirates traded with Britain, such as a letter from Sheikh Shakhbut bin Dhiab Al Falahi in Abu Dhabi, to the British Political Agent in 1821, and maps of the region from 1620 to 1922 AD.
